What is PRP Therapy?
PRP is widely used in aesthetics also referred to as the "vampire facial", where the natural components of your own body are harnessed to promote skin revitalization. By stimulating collagen, elastin and cellular growth, as well as by improving local blood supply and hydration, your skin texture and tone should gradually improve and lead to healthier looking skin.
A small sample of blood is taken from your arm, extracting approx. 10mls. of blood, exactly like having a routine blood test at your doctors. The blood is centrifuged, and ten minutes later, the PRP has been separated from the whole blood and is ready to use. Once on site, the growth factors and other regenerative molecules are released leading to collagen and elastin formation as well as cellular growth and skin remodeling.
Over the next 4 - 6 weeks, you will see visible results, improving skin tone, texture, lines and overall looking healthier.

PRP and HA Combined
When combined with HA, PRP treatment becomes even more powerful, delivering exceptional results. HA, or hyaluronic acid, is a naturally occurring substance that helps to hydrate and plump the skin. When injected alongside PRP, it enhances the overall benefits of the treatment. The combination of PRP and HA helps to stimulate collagen production, improve skin texture and tone, and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Additionally, HA provides immediate hydration to the skin, giving it a smoother and more radiant appearance. Many patients experience noticeable improvements after just a few sessions, while optimal results may develop over a few weeks. The longevity of the results can vary depending on individual factors such as lifestyle and skin condition; typically, the effects of PRP with HA can last up to 6 to 12 months. By combining PRP and HA, patients can achieve not only immediate rejuvenation but also long-lasting benefits for their skin.

PRP vs PRF
Navigating between Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) and Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF)? Let us guide you to the choice that suits your needs best. While both treatments employ your body's natural elements for rejuvenation, there are some distinctions to consider. PRP concentrates platelets and growth factors from your blood to promote collagen synthesis and skin renewal, making it ideal for mild skin issues. On the other hand, PRF takes it a step further by incorporating fibrin, a matrix that supports sustained release of growth factors, enhancing tissue repair and collagen production. This makes PRF a robust option for addressing deeper wrinkles, advanced skin laxity, and more pronounced textural irregularities. While PRP is a great choice for general rejuvenation, PRF's added benefits and longer-lasting results may be preferable for those seeking comprehensive and advanced skin revitalisation. Our experienced professionals are here to help you make an informed decision tailored to your unique goals.
